Wandering Through The Internet

What I could get lost thinking about for hours..
Throughout our lifetime, there is something we grow interested in, and lately, I've been heavily intrigued by fashion. Over the years, the appearance and concept of clothing have drastically changed. The variety of styles are continuing to increase, and it is a part of why I am so fascinated by it. You are able to express who you are by what you wear, and to me, it is the best thing ever. In my free time, I could scroll through Pinterest for hours. It is one of the main websites I visit for outfit inspiration or just in general. A few years ago, I was so intimidated to wear certain types of clothing, but now I realized how important it is to me to be myself. It makes me feel more confident and puts me in a happy mood to wear what I want and be who I want to be. I used to dress myself according to what everyone was wearing at school to fit in and it was exhausting. Some days I would have the courage to be bold, and it would make me feel so much better. At the end of the day, you are your own source of happiness and if wearing a crazy pair of pants or a chunky pair of shoes will make you happy, then go for it.

Considering the number of clothes in my room, I constantly think about outfit ideas or more clothes I want to buy. I guess you could say I'm a shopaholic, but I am definitely not at the point where it's unhealthy. One of the things I do in my spare time is scroll on Pinterest for inspiration, whether it is clothing-related, tattoo-related or even just art-related. It is such a handy website to find all kinds of ideas, considering it is accessible to everyone.
Aside from clothing, I am also a huge sneaker fan. The type of shoes I love the most are Jordan 1s and 4s. I love the overall look of the shoes although it is an expensive brand.

For a while, I did not understand why Jordans were so expensive. Then I finally understood. It's due to the fact that people buy the shoes to resell them for twice as much as their original worth. Personally, I think it's selfish for others to make money off other people who want to support Micheal Jordan's brand and simply own a good-looking pair of shoes. Jordans are so overhyped that their value has gone way up leaving many not being able to afford them without spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars for a single pair.
In this generation, Jordans are definitely a shoe you cannot miss. It is an iconic shoe brand, and the first brand to ever be banned from the NBA. In addition, it is also the first brand that was owned by an athlete. When you walk down the street and see an individual wearing a pair of Jordans, you instantly think of wealth due to their value, but that's not always the case. I, myself, own a pair of Jordan 5s Pink Foam (above image), but it cost under two-hundred dollars. While it is still above the cost of a regular pair of shoes, it is still in the low end in which I don't waste a huge amount of money, especially if it's bought from stores such as Nike, Champs or Footlocker.
Although these are not Jordans, they are Nike dunks which are also very known in the sneaker community. Considering how fast these shoes sell out, you have to be really lucky or early to even get a pair. There are a bunch of people that buy over ten to twenty pairs just to resell which is a reason why it is difficult to get. In addition to that, people also use automated methods, such as bots. Basically, what it does is fill out the shoe size you want, put it in the cart and send you straight to the checkout to pay. For those who do not use bots, we have to manually do these steps which take minutes, especially when there are hundreds of people on the same website doing the exact same thing you are doing. In these cases, the website could crash, freeze, or glitch. I read that these shoes can sell out in minutes, which most of us do not have considering we are doing everything manually. It is extremely frustrating, specifically because you know that once you do not get a pair during the release date, you'll have to buy a pair from a seller that is selling it three times its value.

While I am obsessed with crewnecks and baggy jeans, shoes tend to be my favourite part of outfits. There's just something about it that I cannot explain, but to me, it could drastically change the look of my top and bottom. When I shop for shoes, I tend to be drawn to the ones with design, texture, or various colours.
